Writer and Digital Humanist
MSc graduate in Language Technologies and Digital Humanities from the University of Turin, I previously obtained a BA in Asian Languages, Markets and Cultures from the University of Bologna.
When I'm not studying or working, I'm usually reading a book, writing novels or short stories either in Italian or English, fumbling with code or hanging out with my cats. I am keen on book editing and publishing, languages and translation. You might also find me babbling about books and other nerd stuff on Instagram (currently on: @_thelastwriter).
Communication, in all its forms, is my secret superpower.
My work and research interests lie at the intersection of: narrative and media studies; gender and queer studies; paper and digital publishing; digital humanities; languages and cultures; and pop/fan culture.
While being enthusiastic about the implementation of digital technolgies for research and innovation, I oppose to the massive use of generative AI in creative projects (novels, movie scripts, visual arts, etc.), and I strongly advocate for the protection and respect of human artistic expression. My goal is to foster innovation and accessibility in the digital domain, while actively safeguarding the value of inherently human creativity, which I believe is the only force capable of giving culture both a meaning and a purpose.
