A MSc graduate in Language Technologies and Digital Humanities from the University of Turin, Arianna previously obtained a BA in Asian Languages, Markets and Cultures from the University of Bologna.
When she's not studying or working, she's usually found reading a book, writing novels or short stories either in Italian or English, fumbling with code or hanging out with her beloved cats. She is keen on book editing and publishing, foreign languages and translation. You might also find her babbling about books and other nerd stuff on Instagram (currently on: @_thelastwriter).
Communication, in all its forms, is her secret superpower.
Her work and research interests lie at the intersection of: narrative and media studies; gender and queer studies; print and digital publishing; digital humanities; languages and cultures; international pop and fandom culture.
While being enthusiastic about the implementation of digital technolgies for research and innovation, she stands against the use of generative AI in creative projects (literature, cinema, visual arts, etc.), and she strongly advocates for the protection and respect of human artistic expression. Her goal is to foster innovation and accessibility in the digital domain, while actively safeguarding the value of inherently human creativity, which she believes to be the only force capable of giving culture both a meaning and a purpose.
